Our oil mill

For four generations, the oil mill has preserved its tradition in the production of high quality extra virgin olive oil.

With inherited passion and dedication, each bottle embodies the art and history of a family committed to excellence and respect for the land.

Growers

We grew up in the shade of an olive tree: from 1889 to today our family has been cultivating and caring for hundreds of trees, many of which are centuries old, in the heart of Puglia. This ensures that particular attention is paid to the olive harvest which, still today, takes place using traditional methods, before the olives reach full maturity.
Because only starting from a quality raw material can we obtain an excellent Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Manufacturers

Our added value is in having our own semi-underground oil mill: this guarantees immediate milling, within 24-36 hours, of the olives, so as to preserve all the beneficial properties of the Extra Virgin Olive Oil. A continuous search for quality which is also found in the choice of applying cold pressing, which guarantees a product full of those polyphenols which are so important for health and beauty.

Bottlers

The Extra Virgin Olive Oil production chain ends within our company: a goal that cost us hard work, but which has fully repaid the efforts. Our olive oil, in fact, is bottled internally, so as to minimize contact with the air - the bitter enemy of the oil - during all phases. There are 2 last steps left: a dark bottle to reduce the damage of light and a label that clearly tells the story of our Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

THE ACROPOLIS OF PUGLIA

The Benefits of Extra Virgin Olive Oil

1. Fights cholesterol

Lowering “bad cholesterol” levels.

Extra virgin olive oil is rich in monounsaturated fatty acids, especially oleic acid. These healthy fats can help lower levels of LDL cholesterol ("bad cholesterol") in the blood, thereby helping to improve cardiovascular health. Additionally, olive oil contains a variety of bioactive compounds that help reduce inflammation and improve artery function.

2. Strengthens the immune system

Because it is rich in antioxidants.

Extra virgin olive oil is a natural source of antioxidants, including vitamin E and polyphenols. Antioxidants fight oxidative stress in the body, which is linked to cellular aging and numerous chronic diseases. Helping reduce oxidative stress can help support the immune system, improving the body's ability to defend itself against infection and disease.

3. Fight diabetes

Reduces blood sugar spikes after meals.

Extra virgin olive oil can positively affect blood sugar levels. Thanks to its content of healthy fats and polyphenolic compounds, it can slow down the absorption of sugars into the bloodstream. This can help avoid sudden blood sugar spikes after meals, which are especially important for people with type 2 diabetes.

4. Helps to lose weight

Increases the sense of satiety by slowing down the absorption of sugars.

Extra virgin olive oil can help control appetite and hunger. The monounsaturated fats contained in the oil can help increase the sense of satiety, thus reducing the desire to consume excessive amounts of food. Additionally, by slowing the absorption of sugars, it can help stabilize blood sugar levels and prevent drastic swings that can trigger excessive snacking.

5. Has antioxidant effects

Thanks to the presence of polyphenols.

Polyphenols are plant compounds with powerful antioxidant properties. These compounds help neutralize free radicals in the body, which are unstable molecules linked to cellular aging and numerous diseases. Extra virgin olive oil, particularly high quality ones, is rich in polyphenols which contribute to its health benefits.

6. It is an excellent ally of beauty

Regenerates hair, strengthens nails, moisturizes the skin.

The use of extra virgin olive oil is not limited to dietary intake only. Thanks to its richness in antioxidants, vitamins and essential fatty acids, it can be used as an ingredient in beauty treatments. Massaging the oil into the scalp can help nourish and regenerate the hair, while applying it to the nails can help make them stronger and less brittle. Also, the oil can be used for skin hydration, leaving it softer and more radiant.
