How to store and combine extra virgin olive oil?

This time we reveal some tricks on how to best preserve extra virgin olive oil and some tips for enhancing its taste.
Conservation methods
Extra virgin olive oil is a very delicate product and can be altered by light, high temperatures and odors.
Light is certainly the main enemy of extra virgin olive oil - as it accelerates the oxidation process -, heat damages the organoleptic characteristics, while external odors - easily absorbed - can inevitably alter the aroma and flavour.
It is therefore necessary to store extra virgin olive oil in pantries or in cool, dry rooms, protected from light and well ventilated, with a temperature of around 12-15° C and a humidity level between 40 and 70%. . It is also preferable to store extra virgin olive oil in dark glass containers, which guarantees better protection of the product from light.
Extra virgin olive oil can be paired very well with both sweet and savory dishes.

But it is important to remember a fundamental rule: delicate flavors require delicate oils, vice versa strong flavors require strong and decisive oils.
